JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled KPOP Pop Dance Teacher to lead engaging and high-energy dance classes for students of varying ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate is passionate about dance, enjoys working with youth, and can foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach K-Pop choreography and foundational dance techniques in an age-appropriate, engaging way.
  • Plan and lead structured classes that include warm-up, technique, choreography, and cool-down.
  • Introduce students to popular K-Pop routines and artists, while encouraging creativity and individual expression.
  • Prepare students for performances, showcases, or special events as needed
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date on K-Pop trends and incorporate them into class plans
  • Communicate regularly with program staff and provide student progress updates
  • Ensure a safe and supportive space for all students
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance lessons in styles such as hip hop, jazz, K-Pop, contemporary, or other relevant genres.
  • Teach proper technique, rhythm, coordination, and performance skills
  • Encourage creativity and self-expression through dance
  • Prepare students for performances, showcases, or events as needed
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Track student progress and provide feedback when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Prior experience teaching dance to youth or in a group setting
  • Strong background in one or more dance styles
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and manage a classroom
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but not required)

Preferred:

  • Experience working in after-school programs, schools, or community centers
  • Choreography experience for student performances
  • Bilingual abilities (depending on community needs)

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 10.0 per week
