Data Analyst

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for processing and interpreting data, analyzing results and providing relevant insights that would guide strategic decisions and increase business efficiencies. He/she will work hand-in-hand with other departments to clean and analyze wide variety of data collected from the field and data in management systems.

• Ensure data structures are robust as per set standards and data analysis is free of error.
• Develop a workflow to move from raw data to fully processed data ready for analysis in Excel, or data software based on the team’s theoretical/administrative requirements.
• Provide project/initiative specific recommendations based on results attained from data analysis.
• Work with a variety of data sets and conduct statistical analysis.
• Prepare technical and non-technical reports as and when required using data.

Required Skills

• Excellent analytical skills – should be able to manage all data related tasks including data entry, data cleaning, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong, practical grasp over statistical methods. Some experience in predictive analytics would be a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and Python/R, for data analysis with programming skills in SQL for database management (ETL workflow).
• Comfortable in multi-tasking and ability to work on a wide range of projects requiring collaboration across different teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills to contribute to reports, and impact evaluation studies.
• Must be passionate, self-motivated, results driven, and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be curious and motivated to learn new skills.
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX and M-query and dashboard design.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field

Experience

2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role
