Data Analyst

Company: Telecommunications Client

Job Title: Data Analyst – Marketing Analytics

Duration: 6 Months Contract w/ Extensions and possibility for hire on W2

Locations: 2260 E IMPERIAL HWY El Segundo, CA

Pay Rate: $40hr - $50hr


Must Haves:


  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics or data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including experience writing complex queries.
  • Strong experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Ability to translate technical findings to actionable business recommendations.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and experience working with relational databases (preferably Snowflake and Databricks).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to hold technical conversations with technical teams and translate those findings for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, particularly with marketing and pricing teams.
  • Collaborative, self-sufficient, possess a student mindset with the eagerness to learn



Nice to Haves:


  • Preferred Masters degree from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics.
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience building out predictive models
  • Big data analytics modeling using tools such as Palantir, Power BI, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Synapse, H2O Driverless AI, etc.
  • Data Science experience



Job Description:


As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive business decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Pricing, and Data Science. You will be responsible for working with relational databases such as Snowflake and using advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau to present actionable insights to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities include:


Analyze marketing and pricing data to uncover actionable insights that support business decision-making.

Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases (Snowflake and Databricks preferred).

Work closely with marketing and pricing teams to understand business needs and connect the dots between data and business strategies.

Partner with data science teams to translate model outputs into business-relevant insights and recommendations.

Utilize Tableau to create compelling and informative data visualizations that help communicate key findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and present insights to senior stakeholders.

Maintain a strong business acumen to ensure alignment with overall business goals.

Be self-sufficient and proactive with a "go-getter" mentality while working within a highly collaborative team.
