Data Analyst – Inventory & Logistics

The Data Analyst – Inventory & Logistics is responsible for analyzing inventory, supply chain data to support efficient operations and informed decision-making. This role focuses on tracking key metrics, identifying trends, improving processes, and ensuring data accuracy across inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze inventory and logistics data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making. Prepare dashboards and reports for management.

  • Inventory Analytics:

Monitor and analyze inventory metrics such as turnover rates, stock levels, safety stock, and Days of Inventory Outstanding (DIO) to optimize inventory performance.

  • Cost Analysis:

Evaluate inventory-related costs including carrying costs, ordering costs, and stockout impact to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Supplier Performance Analysis:

Track and analyze supplier metrics such as delivery accuracy, lead time, defect rate, and availability to support vendor performance improvement.

  • Process Efficiency Analysis:

Analyze operational workflows and performance data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

  • Data Validation & Accuracy:

Ensure accuracy and consistency of inventory data by performing regular validations and supporting audit processes.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to gather data and ensure alignment on reporting and insights.

  • Dashboard Development:

Develop and maintain dashboards (Excel/BI tools) for real-time monitoring of inventory and logistics performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple datasets and priorities effectively.
