Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Platform Enablement & Governance Lead to drive adoption, governance, and effective use of the organization’s enterprise data platform. This role partners closely with business teams to deliver trusted insights, align metrics, and ensure data readiness for advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly Azure Data Factory) and Power BI Service, including the design, development, and lifecycle management of Power BI semantic (tabular) models, along with a strong foundation in data governance and stakeholder enablement.
Key Responsibilities Data Platform Enablement & Analytics Delivery
- Partner with business units to identify critical data sources, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
- Manage ingestion of structured data into the enterprise data warehouse using Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly ADF).
- Design, build, publish, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and alerts to deliver actionable business insights.
- Develop and maintain robust Power BI semantic models, including DAX measures, incremental refresh, composite models, and DirectQuery implementations.
- Define and standardize KPIs and metrics across departments; maintain a centralized KPI Registry and Business Glossary.
- Monitor and maintain the operational health and performance of the enterprise data warehouse and BI ecosystem.
- Provide guidance and enablement to business users on effective self-service analytics using the BI platform.
Power BI Administration & Platform Governance
- Administer Power BI Service, including tenant settings, workspace and capacity management (Pro/Premium), deployment pipelines, data gateways, and security (RLS/OLS).
- Enforce governance policies to ensure consistent, secure, and scalable self-service analytics.
- Coordinate with IT on platform performance, permissions, upgrades, and maintenance; plan for Microsoft Fabric readiness where applicable.
- Track, prioritize, and manage enhancement requests while promoting consistent analytics and modeling practices across teams.
Data Governance Leadership
- Establish and lead the organization’s data governance program, defining roles, responsibilities, and ownership across business units.
- Identify and document systems of record, single sources of truth, and data ownership for core business entities.
- Leverage Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
- Define and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and documentation protocols.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assign and enable Data Stewards and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Monitor adherence to governance policies and support enforcement through documentation, training, and enablement.
- Maintain centralized documentation of KPIs, definitions, and metadata to support enterprise-wide self-service analytics.
- Partner with compliance, security, and IT teams to align governance efforts with regulatory, privacy, and access control requirements.
Advanced Analytics & AI Enablement
- Partner with the AI Enablement Lead to ensure data quality, availability, and readiness for AI-powered solutions.
- Support integration points with Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, and related services, including data contracts where applicable.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–6 years of experience working with enterprise data platforms, BI tools, or analytics systems.
- Deep expertise with Azure Synapse pipelines (formerly Azure Data Factory) and Power BI Service, including semantic model development and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience defining KPIs and delivering dashboards for both operational and strategic decision-making.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming structured datasets.
- Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise data modeling, data catalogs, and lineage tooling; hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Understanding of how data platforms support AI/ML use cases, including exposure to Azure AI Foundry or Azure ML.
- Experience in financial services, lending, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working in Agile or data product–oriented environments.
- Exposure to or planning experience for Microsoft Fabric migrations or readiness initiatives.

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs370,000.00 per month
