Overview

Axiom Technologies is a Global IT Services partner supporting medium to large-scale enterprises.


We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite / on-call assistance to end-users within the organization's desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.



IT Skills and Experience

  • Researching and designing data center equipment and facilities, and ensuring that designs and installations meet requirements

  • Keeping accurate records of all activities and ensuring that documentation is up-to-date

  • Troubleshooting technical issues and responding promptly to emergencies

  • Managing the power sources, heating, and cooling controls inside the facility

  • Performing cable management, including securing, color coding, and documenting the wiring

  • Define data center system-level architecture

  • Develop operations and maintenance procedures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders

  • Set up and configure servers to meet operational needs

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly. Identify and mitigate potential risks

  • Handle hardware upgrades to maintain system efficiency

  • Participate in audits and provide solutions for identified concerns. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Manage the environment monitoring system, respond to alerts promptly and take necessary actions

  • Manage backup tapes and ensure data integrity and security

  • Provide comprehensive reports as per the data centre's standard procedure

  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and infrastructure, monitor for any security breaches and respond accordingly

  • Vendor Management

  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure support

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Well-organized and extremely detail-oriented

  • Strong customer service ethic and excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Passionate about delivering quality no matter what you are doing

  • Can work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment

  • A self-starter, motivated to push the limits and think outside of the box

  • Fondness for solutions that are simple, elegant, and effective

  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information

  • Language Proficiency: German, English



In-depth knowledge of

  • Windows OS (e.g. XP, Vista, Windows 7, 10)

  • Microsoft Office applications

  • PC Laptop hardware

  • PC Laptop peripherals, including printers

  • Mobile devices



Basic knowledge of

  • Active Directory

  • Exchange

  • Apple OS

  • SCCM



IT Qualifications

At least two of the following :



  • PCLaptop OEM Maintenance Certification

  • CompTIA A+ Certification

  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification in the desktop area

  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification



Experience in a similar role

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
