Data Centre Products Designer (Sheet Metal / Fabrication)

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Designer specialized in Data Centre Products to join our factory team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing sheet metal products used in data centres and will play a key role in bridging design and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data centre-related products such as:
• Server racks & cabinets
• Cable trays & ladder systems
• Containment systems (hot/cold aisle)
• Enclosures and custom sheet metal solutions
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and production files
• Generate accurate costing drawings and BOQs for customers
• Work closely with the factory team to ensure designs are manufacturable
• Guide fabrication processes including bending, punching, laser cutting, and assembly
• Optimize designs for efficiency, cost, and production speed
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (TIA/EIA, IEC, etc.)

Requirements:

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in sheet metal design, preferably in data centre or enclosure manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Proficiency in design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
• Ability to create production-ready drawings and flat patterns
• Experience in working directly with factory teams
• Strong understanding of materials (steel, stainless steel, coatings, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering and production teams

Preferred:

• Experience with data centre contractors or OEMs
• Knowledge of international standards and specifications
• Experience in Saudi or GCC market
