Data Entry Operator

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurate data entry, record management, and maintaining confidentiality of organizational information. The role ensures that all data is entered, updated, and maintained systematically to support smooth administrative and operational functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and verify data in computerized systems.
  • Maintain digital and physical records systematically.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entries.
  • Generate reports as required by management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, IT, or
  • related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in data entry or office administration.
  • Excellent typing speed with high accuracy (minimum 35–40 words per minute
  • preferred).
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel (formulas, sorting,
  • filtering, basic reporting).
  • Experience working with databases, ERP systems, or school management systems will
  • be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
