Data Governance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, document, and maintain data quality rules and standards.
• Create and store Master data for company wide access.
• Develop and monitor data quality scorecards and dashboards to measure and track data health in Power BI.
• Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency using Microsoft Purview and Presto (SQL) in Athena.
• Apply data modeling best practices to design and validate logical and physical data structures.
• Build data lineage using Data Governance tools (Microsoft Purview) for impact analysis.
• Leverage Erwin Data Modeler (or similar tools) to document, maintain, and optimize enterprise data models.
• Build ETL pipelines in AWS Glue using Python to support Data Quality and Governance projects.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across multiple platforms.
• Build strategies for deciding Systems of Records and establishing sync between systems.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Master Data Management principles.
• Strong Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler (preferred) or similar data modeling tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS – Athena, Glue, S3
• Experience with Data Governance and Data Quality tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview – preferred, AWS Data Zone, Talend, Collibra, or equivalent).
• Experienced in Power BI, Power BI Dataflows, Power Query (Power Apps is a plus)
• Knowledge of ETL pipeline development and processes, data warehousing, and database systems.
• Background of data analytics and business intelligence
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have skills:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview
• Understanding of Yardi and Salesforce databases
• PowerApps
