Position Summary:

The role is responsible for driving advanced data science initiatives, leveraging machine learning and Generative AI to deliver actionable insights, predictive models, and intelligent automation across the organization. The incumbent will design, build, and deploy scalable analytical and risk models, support targeted customer engagement and credit decisioning, and enable data-driven strategies through close collaboration with business, BI, and technology teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, assessment, automation and governance of data science projects for building and enhancing customer understanding as well as targeted campaigns
• Develop actionable statistical models covering but not limited to predictive, clustering & segmentation (behaviour, payment, lifestyle etc.), digital (app propensity, app churn etc.), stratified sampling across selected KPIs, association rule mining to develop product affinity, etc. in open-source architecture (Python/R etc.)
• Credit and associated default risk establishment across base. Experience working in credit scoring, probability of default modelling and collections optimization is a plus.
• Design and development of model deployment pipelines (MLOps)
• At least 2 years working experience with Gen AI and Agentic AI.
• Ad hoc drill downs, investigative analytics and profiling exercises using complex SQL queries to be accomplished as part of the day-to-day activities
• Proactively work with various departments including business heads to provide advanced analytics, data modelling systems and insights
• Work in close coordination with the BI team in the department as custodian of data science projects and act as bridge between commercial users and Technology

Knowledge and Experience

Education: BS(CS/Mathematics/Engineering/Statistics), Masters in relevant area (Preferred)

Experience: 5+ years’ experience working in Data Science (ML & Gen AI)
