What You'll Do:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems ( SQL Server , PostgreSQL ).
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of databases, especially Always-On availability groups and cluster configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity.
• Design and implement database structures, schemas, indexes, and views aligned with business requirements.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Monitor and tune performance using tools like SQL Profiler , Grafana , Prometheus , and Zabbix .
• Manage database backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Automate routine database tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and modern tools.
• Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams on deployments, schema changes, and CI/CD processes.
• Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with relevant data protection and regulatory standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, procedures, and policies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support for critical systems and planned maintenance.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrato r (minimum 2-3 years for mid-level roles).
• Deep expertise in RDBMS platforms: Microsoft SQL Server (especially Always On) and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL and DWH platforms such as MongoDB , Elasticsearch , ClickHouse .
• Familiarity with Kafka and Debezium for CDC (Change Data Capture).
• Proficient in database security, role-based access control, and encryption best practices.
• Strong understanding of normalization/denormalization, indexing strategies, and relational database design principles.
• Skilled in operating system administration (preferably Linux and Windows Server).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
