Database Administrator

• Education and Experience:
• Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Preferably Masters in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Technology
• Prior relevant experience of 3-4 years is required
• Preferred foundation training or certification in ITIL/PRINCE2 Foundation training/Certification
• Preferred vendor-specific RDBMS certifications such as OCA, OCP, MCITP, MCTS
• Familiarity with relevant databases
• SKillS
• · Database administration on Oracle/SQL Server Database
• · He/she should have relevant work experience in 24/7 operation
• · Ready to learn new technologies such as NoSQL/Data Pipelines
• · Ready to learn other RDBMS MySQL/PostgreSQL
• · Hands on Performance tuning/Queries optimization
• · Diagnostic and Troubleshooting experience
• · Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting experience on OS level
• · Basic SQL Queries Hands-On
• · High Availability/Replication/Log transportation experience
• · Backup and Recovery procedures
• Key Responsibilities (Functional Competencies)
• · Perform database server administration and associated administrative tasks on SQL Server Database
• · Perform analysis of existing processes & procedures and address related queries
• · Possess knowledge of basic SQL Queries Statements and perform Diagnostic & Troubleshooting on SQL Server and OS
• · Working with High Availability/Replication/Log transportation
• · Familiarity with Backup and Recovery procedures
• · Administer and develop SSRS & Power-BI
