Daycare Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
• Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions and discipline when necessary
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to support a healthy learning environment
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving needs for infants and toddlers as required

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for teaching young children

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
