Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
  • Monitor children closely to ensure their safety at all times and respond promptly to their needs
  • Support children in daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training with patience and care
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns
  • Implement behavior management strategies that foster positive interactions and respect among children
  • Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum activities aligned with childhood development standards and educational best practices

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles; familiarity with classroom management techniques
  • Ability to provide infant care, toddler care, and preschool instruction with patience and enthusiasm
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure quick response in emergencies
  • Knowledge of special education needs and working effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while creating a positive learning environment
