Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
  • Support children with daily activities, including play, arts and crafts, storytime, and educational exercises
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children by maintaining a vigilant presence and adhering to safety protocols
  • Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
  • Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
  • Support classroom organization by preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and maintaining a tidy environment
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor developmental milestones and communicate observations to lead teachers
  • Assist with special education needs or children with disabilities by implementing individualized support strategies
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Engage with parents or guardians during pick-up times to share updates on their child's day and progress

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly valued
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
  • Certification in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively
  • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to nurturing young learners
  • Physical ability to assist with infant care tasks such as feeding, diapering, and lifting children as needed
