Performs secretarial and general office duties according to the needs of the Forrest General Foundation. Responsible for a systematic approach to collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data to support decision-making. Compares performance and incorporates customer feedback to enable intense evaluation of patterns and trends. Collaborates with Hospital managers, staff, teams, community volunteers and donors to generate recommendations for improvement. Reliable transportation is required. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Education/Skills: High School Diploma required. Bachelor degree preferred. A high speed typing of 30 WPM is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The ability to use mail merge is necessary. Fundraising experience an asset but not required.
Work Experience: Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Raiser’s Edge) required. Independent self-starter, capable of initiating projects both independently and as part of a team required. Courteous telephone skills. Must have excellent organizational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects. Must manage multiple calendars, phone lines and various projects simultaneously. The ability to gather, analyze and evaluate data is required. Three or more years' clerical experience working in a professional setting, such as a law office, academia, accounting firm, or other professional setting.
Mental Demands:
Exceptional oral and written skills are required to relate effectively to Hospital and medical staff, volunteers and donors. The individual must have the ability to type and be familiar with the rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. The individual must have the ability to use a computer display station, copier, telephone, personal computer, and calculator. The individual must have a high energy level and perform well under pressure.
