Default Paralegal

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Default Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of default procedures, pleadings, document preparation related to foreclosure and collection matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file legal pleadings and documents for default and foreclosure matters
• Monitor case progress and manage deadlines across jurisdictions
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case status
• Draft motions, affidavits, and other court documents
• Maintain accurate case records and support attorneys as needed

Skills

• Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
• Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
• Computer literacy
• Proficiency in English
• Working knowledge of case management software
• Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
• Prefer experience in BKFS; TEMPO; ADR; DRA.
• Proficient in running PACER and SCRA.
• Proficiency in Word; PDF; Excel.
• Dependable; Able to Multitask; Can work independently.
• Communicate with clients and borrowers, and the Courts.
• File pleadings with the Courts.
• Maintain deadlines.
• Organizational Skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,172.38 - $60,035.88 per year
