We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie – Pastry to join our culinary team in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and showcase your creativity and skill.
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist the Pastry Chef in developing new dessert menu items and seasonal specialties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage your station efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
- Contribute to menu planning and cost control efforts
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies when necessary
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and current trends
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Proficiency in cake decorating and chocolate work
