We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie – Pastry to join our culinary team in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and showcase your creativity and skill.

Job Description

  • Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in developing new dessert menu items and seasonal specialties
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Manage your station efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
  • Contribute to menu planning and cost control efforts
  • Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies when necessary
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and current trends
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
  • Proficiency in cake decorating and chocolate work
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative desserts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and recipe documentation
