Denim Production Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Denim Wash Technologist who can take ownership of wash development, bulk execution, troubleshooting, and consistency control across external laundries.

We’re hiring a denim expert who can manage the full workflow from fabric arrival to final wash output - including shrinkage testing (50×50 cm swatches), setting wash recipes, guiding fabric selection for the target wash, and coordinating with the pattern master for shrinkage allowances.

• Receive denim fabric and create lot-wise test swatches (50×50 cm) for shrinkage & skew/torque testing
• Measure and record warp/weft shrinkage %, skew/leg twist risk, and shade/handfeel changes
• Develop and lock wash recipes (enzyme, stone, bleach, softener, PP/contrast work if needed)
• Coordinate with laundry to ensure pilot → approval → bulk consistency
• Recommend which denim fabric to buy based on required wash outcome (construction, dyeing, GSM/oz, finish)
• Communicate shrinkage results to pattern master and advise pattern adjustments before bulk cutting
• Maintain batch records, approvals, and repeatability documentation

Requirements (Must-Have):

• Proven experience in denim washing / laundry R&D (not generic garment washing only)
• Strong understanding of shrinkage, skew, torque/leg twist, shade control and bulk consistency
• Ability to talk in process terms: time, temp, pH, liquor ratio, dose, stones/enzymes, etc.
• Good communication with pattern/cutting/production teams
• Discipline with lot tracking, testing logs, and SOPs

Laundry Vendor Coordination

• Work closely with external denim laundries to execute approved wash recipes.
• Guide laundry teams on wash parameters, sequencing, and finishing steps.
• Monitor wash execution during bulk runs to ensure consistency.
• Maintain wash SOPs and comments for repeat styles.
• Ability to talk in process terms: time, temp, pH, liquor ratio, dose, stones/enzymes, etc.
• Good communication with pattern/cutting/production teams
• Discipline with lot tracking, testing logs, and SOPs

Preferred / Plus:

• Experience with export denim standards and shade band control
• Ability to train teams + set internal SOPs
