Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like softdent, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and assisting with appointment scheduling as a dental receptionist when needed. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control standards to uphold safety and hygiene within the clinic environment. Stay informed about advancements in dental assisting practices, including knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and specialized fields like endodontics or prosthodontics.

Requirements
Previous experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Softdent . Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy related to oral health, and medical documentation standards. Experience with X-ray procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is expected. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference! Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
