Dental Assistant

In this role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Your attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dental care while fostering a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and setting up dental equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Assist dentists during various procedures including root canal therapy, root canal retreatment and apicoectomy by handing instruments, managing dental materials, and maintaining a clear field of operation.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring proper positioning and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, dental terminology, and treatment notes.
  • Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health standards.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental office setting is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in four-handed dentistry.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and proper use of X-ray equipment.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to documentation and patient privacy is essential.
  • Experience with dental imaging; 3D scanners and digital X-ray systems.

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
