Dental Assistant

We are a small, independently owned, single dentist practice. We have been serving the local community for 20+ years. Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you'll support our dentist by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is ready for efficient patient care
  • Assist dentist during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
  • Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to support safe procedures
  • Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer their questions with professionalism and empathy
  • Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following OSHA standards

Skills

  • Proficiency with dental software including
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the team
  • Experience with medical imaging techniques such as X-ray and 3D scanner technology to assist in comprehensive diagnostics
  • Skilled in chairside assisting techniques across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry settings
  • Ability to perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort during procedures
  • Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
  • Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and manage patient flow effectively

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
