Dental Assistant

Job Overview

We are a pediatric dental office seeking an experienced dental assistant. Interested candidates must be dependable, energetic, friendly and team oriented. This position requires x-ray certification. The salary offered is negotiable and will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments, managing dental materials, and operating chairside equipment
• Take X-ray images
• Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (Dentrix),
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient comfort throughout their visit.
• Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and reduce procedure times while maintaining high standards of care.

Skills

• Experience with dental radiography (X-ray) techniques
• Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
