Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our Endodontic Practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and medical documentation. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prior experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. Candidates must be committed to maintaining HIPAA compliance and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist during a endodontic procedures and consultations
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed.
  • Take accurate dental X-rays , including CBCTs.
  • Record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information accurately in TDO software.
  • Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures.
  • Educate patients on care instructions post-treatment and answer questions regarding procedures or billing.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing dental records, and assisting with front desk duties as needed.

Skills

  • Endodontic assisting experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedure codes.
  • Experience with X-ray procedures, including CBCT preferred.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting with expertise in four-handed dentistry practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health care.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment within general dentistry or specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
