Dental Assistant/ Floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Dental Assistant/Floater to join our dynamic dental team. This role provides vital support across various dental procedures and clinic functions, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, familiarity with Dentrix, and the ability to adapt to different clinical environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a reputable dental practice committed to maintaining high standards of infection control, patient safety, and professional development. The ideal candidate can be new to the clinical environment and we will offer on site training and the opportunity for a solid start in the dental field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist during a wide range of procedures in general dentistry.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Manage patient records Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Training available.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing documentation or records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
  • Float between different departments as required to ensure consistent patient care delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dental assisting or working within a dental clinic setting is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical imaging techniques including X-ray operation not required.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment. This role is integral to delivering comprehensive dental care while supporting the operational efficiency of our practice. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
