Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate
Traveling Dental Assistant
to support our mobile dental program across two North Carolina locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a predictable, low‑frequency schedule and meaningful patient interactions in senior‑care settings.
Your primary site will be
in New Bern
, where we are expanding our specialty services.
You will also support
two dental visits per month in Durham
. These visit dates vary month‑to‑month based on provider availability.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, clean, and sterilize the dental operatory at each facility

Assist the dentist chairside during exams and procedures

Manage patient flow and communicate professionally with facility staff

Maintain equipment organization and ensure proper breakdown and packing at the end of each clinic day

Travel between New Bern and Durham as scheduled (mileage reimbursed)
Schedule Details

Weekday daytime hours only (typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)

Ideal Candidate

Based near New Bern and comfortable traveling to Durham twice per month

Experienced in dental assisting (radiographs, chairside support, sterilization)

Organized, reliable, and able to work independently with a mobile care team

Comfortable working in senior‑care environments and communicating with diverse facility staff

Able to lift and transport mobile dental equipment (approx. 25–30 lbs.)
