Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify patient information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answering inquiries and directing calls efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers
- Collect payments, process medical collections, and assist with billing procedures utilizing Dentrix and Weave.
- Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical history forms and explaining treatment plans in clear terms
- Support office management tasks such as electronic filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records including Dentrix
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix scheduling and insurance verification is a plus
- Proven experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinic management software (Dentrix) and Weave. Typing 30+ WPM.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and medical billing processes
- Marketing knowledge including social media management
- Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment. Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
