Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly, verify patient information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answering inquiries and directing calls efficiently
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers
  • Collect payments, process medical collections, and assist with billing procedures utilizing Dentrix and Weave.
  • Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management
  • Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical history forms and explaining treatment plans in clear terms
  • Support office management tasks such as electronic filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records including Dentrix

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix scheduling and insurance verification is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinic management software (Dentrix) and Weave. Typing 30+ WPM.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and medical billing processes
  • Marketing knowledge including social media management
  • Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment. Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
