Dental Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring a smooth flow of patient appointments, insurance processing, and administrative support. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software Denticon
  • Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems
  • Familaritly with Indiana Medicaid
  • Maintain precise medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear information and scheduling support
  • Assist with insurance verification, claim submissions, and follow-up on unpaid accounts or outstanding balances
  • Support clinical staff by managing patient intake forms, medical history updates, and care plan documentation

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a dental clinic or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Denticon.
  • Knowledge of Dental terminology, CDT coding, and Dental billing procedures
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Previous clinic or hospital experience that demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities
