Dental Receptionist / Front Office

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist / Front Office team member to serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and strong organizational abilities. In this role, you will manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in dental terminology, EMR systems, and medical billing will contribute significantly to providing exceptional patient service and maintaining efficient office workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient intake processes using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
  • Schedule appointments accurately while managing multi-line phone systems and maintaining an organized front desk environment.
  • Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and handle billing procedures utilizing EMR systems like Eaglesoft.
  • Maintain precise medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards.
  • Assist with insurance verification billing to ensure accurate reimbursement processes.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Support office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing office supplies to promote an efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting with proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and health information systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical billing procedures related to Medicare and private insurance plans.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and clinic management software.
  • Effective communication skills with a professional phone etiquette approach; bilingual abilities are a plus.
