Duties

  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients, explaining treatment options, procedures, and financial arrangements with clarity and enthusiasm
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize the flow of patient care and reduce wait times
  • Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing inquiries efficiently
  • Maintain accurate patient records by updating charts and documenting treatment plans in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Collaborate closely with dental staff to ensure all patient needs are met before, during, and after appointments
  • Assist in managing medical and dental terminology to facilitate clear communication between patients and providers
  • Provide exceptional administrative support by answering phones, managing correspondence, and organizing patient files

Experience

  • Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred; familiarity with healthcare workflows is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate treatment details and insurance information
  • Proven ability to support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and record keeping
  • Office experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working specifically within a dental office environment is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
