Responsibilities
:

To head the overall site supervision team for DAR and manage delivery of project(s) from inception through contract close-out. To establish and lead the project team; to provide direction and technical guidance to Resident Engineers/Senior Engineers within assigned area of responsibility to ensure that quality management and technical services are provided to clients and that operating performance targets are met. Responsible for the supervision of the work of contractors, subcontractors/suppliers ensuring that they fully meet contract requirements.

To build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, project associates and team members. Also, to communicate and coordinate with in house design team internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the assigned projects are successfully delivered.

To lead by example, guide and inspire teams on assigned projects to perform at the highest level. Also, to mentor, influence, coach, guide and direct the performance of team members towards the achievement of project goals. To ensure seamless coordination and integration of various departments for the successful accomplishment of project goal.

To conduct contract negotiations with the client, sub-consultants, contractors/subcontractors and suppliers. To verify the general conditions of the contract along with drawing, specifications and Bill of Quantities in detail to establish the most economical way by which the job can be accomplished and involve in Contractor transmittals addressing Construction methodology. Method Statements, Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, Schedules and compliance with Project objectives.

Responsible for the project schedule, establishing critical path tasks to ensure schedule compliance, and ensuring proper man loading requirements by contractors to achieve the desired completion date. Foresees issues based on historical precedence and mitigates known risk. Conduct and chair regular weekly and monthly meetings (site meeting, progress meeting, safety meeting, project review meeting etc.) with Contractors and Project Team to ensure that the work plan is achieved in accordance with the approved schedule and agreement and any bottlenecks to be resolved.

Supervise, monitor and report project progress throughout the project cycle to ensure on time completion and manage the correspondence with the client and the contractors regarding the progress, program, evaluation, variations, extension of time, claims etc.

Perform the duties of the Engineer’s Representative under FIDIC, constructability reviews, pricing and cost impacts due to phasing and timing, execute the contract and ensure the Contractor’s compliance with the contract documents.

Lead and oversees the Quality Assurance and control plan in accordance with the Dar quality standards and Contract Conditions, and issues certificates and notifications accordingly.

Ensure that policy and procedures are clearly understood by all and foster an understanding in all staff that HSE is an integral element of efficient business management and contribute to the operations efficiency, productivity and profitability for the organization by reducing accidents, damage and financial loss.

Requirements
:

Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Civil or related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 18 years’ experience in senior-level construction supervision or management on building or infrastructure projects is expected.

Experience in developing project execution plans, health and safety plans, and quality control plans is essential.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
