Deputy General Manager – Xtra Link Transport
Position Overview
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) serves as the second‑in‑command to the Managing Director and ensures seamless execution of the company’s strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives. The DGM provides leadership across all departments, safeguards business continuity, and drives performance, efficiency, and accountability.

## *Key Responsibilities*
### *1. Strategic & Executive Leadership*
- Support the Managing Director in shaping and executing company strategy, growth plans, and operational frameworks.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to achieve performance, safety, and financial targets.
- Represent the Managing Director in internal and external meetings when delegated.
- Oversee major projects, tenders, and commercial negotiations.
### *2. Operational Governance*
- Ensure all operations—fleet, tanker logistics, dispatching, workshops, and HSE—run efficiently and in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Monitor operational KPIs, including fleet utilization, trip efficiency, downtime, and service quality.
- Implement corrective actions to address operational gaps, delays, or non‑compliance.
### *3. Financial & Commercial Oversight*
- Review budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
- Support pricing models, contract structures, and commercial proposals.
- Ensure cost control, revenue optimization, and financial discipline across departments.
- Approve major purchases, vendor contracts, and operational expenditures within delegated authority.
### *4. Policy, Compliance & Risk Management*
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, ADNOC/industrial client standards, and transport regulations.
- Lead internal audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments.
- Strengthen governance frameworks, reporting structures, and documentation standards.
### *5. People & Culture Leadership*
- Mentor department heads and develop leadership capabilities across the organization.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.
- Oversee recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure alignment between staff performance and company values.

## *Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of leadership experience in transport, logistics, or industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of UAE transport regulations, HSE standards, and fleet operations.
- Excellent bilingual (Arabic/English) communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to lead multicultural teams.
