Position Summary:
The Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager Finance will oversee budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing financial processes and providing insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Oversee financial operations including payroll, invoicing, and cash flow management.
- Monitor investments, assess financial risks, and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage inventory accounting to ensure accurate valuation, cost allocation, and alignment with physical stock, while coordinating with operations to control discrepancies and losses.
- Analyze financial performance to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
- Manage tax filings and ensure full compliance with GST and other local tax regulations.
- Monitor and record company receivables and assets with regular reconciliation.
- Monitor liabilities, ensuring timely payments and minimizing overdue accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of ledger accounts, including inventory, receivables, and payables, and resolve any discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and manage relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Support executive leadership with financial modeling and strategic planning.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to strengthen internal capabilities.
- Utilize financial tools and software for efficient reporting and analysis.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, budgeting, and audit procedures.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software (e.g. QuickBooks, Oracle etc.)
