Job Purpose

The Alumni & Scholarship Officer is responsible for managing scholarship programs and engaging alumni to foster their academic, professional, and personal growth. This role ensures effective scholarship management, data-driven decision-making, and strong partnerships with educational institutions and external stakeholders to enhance opportunities for students and graduates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Scholarship Management

  • Administer and oversee tertiary scholarship programs with effective and scalable processes.
  • Evaluate and award scholarships based on established criteria.
  • Monitor the academic and professional progress of scholarship recipients and alumni.

2. Data & Research

  • Compile, analyze, and present data to support scholarship and alumni programs.
  • Conduct research to design and implement initiatives for alumni career, personality, and socio-emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of scholarship recipients and alumni engagement activities.

3. Counseling & Mentorship

  • Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to alumni.
  • Build and coordinate mentorship and guidance networks with volunteers and professionals.
  • Organize career guidance sessions, workshops, and mentoring events for alumni.

4. Partnerships & Collaboration

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and expand opportunities for alumni education, employment, and skill development.
  • Support leadership and managers in program design, implementation, communication, and strategic planning.

5. Professional & Ethical Conduct

  • Uphold high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Ensure fairness, transparency, and a student-centric approach in decision-making.

Required Skills & Competencies

Education & Program Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of higher secondary and tertiary education pathways in Pakistan.
  • Awareness of universities, degree programs, and scholarship opportunities nationally.

Communication & Counseling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, counseling, and mentoring skills.

Research & Data Management

  • Proficiency in research, documentation, and report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, monitoring, and presentation.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in partnership building and stakeholder engagement.

Leadership & Facilitation

  • Team leadership and coordination abilities.
  • Skilled in facilitation, training, and community mobilization.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or Business Administration .

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience , preferably in career counseling, community development, alumni engagement, or scholarship program management .
