Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed design drawings, shop drawings, and coordination layouts for smoke management systems, including:
- Smoke extract ducting
- Pressurization systems
- Staircase and lobby pressurization fans
- Car park ventilation
- Fire-rated dampers and controls
- Create accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Develop schematic diagrams, airflow calculations, and equipment layouts based on project requirements and fire strategy reports.
Ensure designs comply with:
- UAE Civil Defense (DCD) requirements
- NFPA, ASHRAE
- Authority guidelines (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DM, etc.
- Provide as-built drawings upon project completion and support in updating design revisions during construction.
- Maintain organized records of design files, revisions, submission logs, and approvals.
- Assist in the preparation of material schedules, and BOQs related to smoke management systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2–5 years of UAE experience in smoke management system design and drafting (mandatory).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office tools; knowledge of Duct/Airflow calculation software.
- Familiarity with UAE Civil Defense submission process and approval workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and fire strategy plans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict submission deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
