Design Engineer, Civil

Job description:

DAR Engineering is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Design, Engineer to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality Structural designs, ensuring they meet both quality standards and project timelines.
• Perform detailed design analysis and calculations in line with project specifications.
• Follow established design guidelines, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Estimate construction costs and material requirements based on detailed designs
• Utilize the latest software and technologies to create efficient and innovative designs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to senior design team members as needed.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design for Low, mid-rise, and high-rise buildings in healthcare, residential, offices, hospitality, entertainment. from Pre-concept design to IFC stage.
• Skilled in reviewing and guiding the preparation of structural drawings
• Familiarity with relevant local and international codes and standards, including SBC, ACI, IBC, ASCE, and SASO standards.
• Competent in design software like ETABs, SAFE, SAP, STAAD Pro, MS Excel, Drafting tools (CAD and REVIT), 3D platforms, and document management systems.
• Knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and local regulations.
• Capable of client coordination and working both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in preparing specifications, design bases, engineering alternatives, BOQs, and value engineering.
• Passionate about structural engineering with strong technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English for both presentation and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master degree in Civil Engineering; certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in structural Concrete design and analysis for Low, mid-rise, and high-rise buildings in healthcare, residential, offices, hospitality, and entertainment sector
