MEP Site Engineer

The MEP Site Engineer is responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of all Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing works at the construction site. The role ensures that all MEP installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, while meeting project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Execution & Supervision
  • Supervise all MEP works including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
  • Ensure execution as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor daily site activities and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Technical Coordination
  • Review MEP drawings and resolve site-related technical issues.
  • Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to avoid clashes.
  • Raise RFIs (Request for Information) where required.
  • Material & Quality Control
  • Check material delivery against approved submittals and BOQ.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of MEP materials on site.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Progress Monitoring
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress of MEP works.
  • Support planning team in achieving project milestones.
  • Report delays, risks, and site issues to senior management.
  • Testing & Commissioning
  • Assist in testing, commissioning, and handing over of MEP systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all testing activities (pressure tests, insulation tests, etc.).
  • Safety Compliance
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with HSE standards.
  • Promote safe working practices at site.
  • Documentation
  • Maintain site records, installation reports, inspection checklists, and as-built data.
  • Support preparation of BOQ variations and material demands.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree / DAE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP construction projects.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Site management and supervision skills
  • Knowledge of construction standards and codes


Preferred Experience:

  • High-rise residential
  • Experience in finishing and installation stages
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems, HVAC split systems, and pumps
