Design Manager

Job Title: Design Project Manager – Technical Office (Engineering Consultancy)
Location: Cairo, Egypt

Important Note (Mandatory Requirement):

• Candidate must be an Architect with real, hands-on experience in Dubai, having worked physically in Dubai on consultancy-based design projects.
• Back-office, remote, or site/contractor experience will not be considered.
• Only candidates with Dubai consultancy technical office experience (design coordination, authority submissions, multidisciplinary review) will be reviewed.

Job Summary:
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Design Project Manager (Architect) to join its Technical Office in Cairo. This role requires extensive experience managing Dubai-based projects from the design side — within consultancy firms, not contractors — with proven knowledge of UAE authority systems and project delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technical design process for multidisciplinary projects.
• Supervise preparation and coordination of all design drawings (architectural, structural, MEP).
• Ensure full compliance with Dubai authority regulations (DM, DEWA, DDA, Trakhees, EHS, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Handle NOC processes, submission follow-ups, and authority approvals.
• Coordinate with BIM and CAD teams for quality control and timely delivery.
• Report to senior management on project design status and milestones.
• Manage technical documentation across all project stages.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 20–25 years of experience in engineering consultancy, with a strong Dubai portfolio.
• In-depth understanding of UAE design codes and local authority procedures.
• Technical leadership in consultancy-based environments (not contracting).
• Proficiency in: Revit, AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, Photoshop, MS Project, Excel, Word.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: E£100.00 - E£200.00 per month
