Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager (PMC) with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a similar position within the Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) industry. The candidate shall have a proven track record of assuming a similar role in a reputable consultancy firm.
Specific experience in managing the design of hospitality projects mainly resorts including firms and adventures assets
, coupled with the knowledge of BIM, will be highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this role. Solid experience BIM is required.
Responsibilities

Develop the Design Management Plan and the design programme including interface with stakeholders, Procurement, Commercial and Construction Programme.

Develop and manage the WBS for the design phase. Track the design deliverables to ensure the completeness of design at the defined milestones.

Implement, monitor and validate the Project Design Governance process and procedures.

Monitor and validate the Design performance by the Lead Design Consultants and sub consultants.

Lead the technical meeting and progress meeting with the Design consultants, preparing and circulating the meetings agenda, and meeting minutes.

Manage the Design submissions received from the Design Consultants.

Foster clear and consistent communication between stakeholders, including client, designers

Promote design to budget and manage design changes effectively, minimizing impact on timelines and budget

Assess design submittals and provide recommendations concerning contractual / scope compliance, and alignment with Client’s /Project requirements.

Manage the design review team efficiently ensuring the review process is followed and the team is carryout the review activities on time.

Ensure the incorporating of the design review comments and rectifications by the design consultants

Ensure the integration of the design with all project components, operator requirements & guidelines, and client requirements.

Report to the Client about the Design status, at any Design stage, and provide recommendations.

Ensure alignment with Design milestones and Monitor statutory authority approval processes.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture discipline

Advanced degrees and certifications are desirable (such as PMP, PMI-RMP, or Prince 2)

Minimum of 15 years of professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in Project Management Consultancy.

Significant experience in design management of Hospitality complex projects.
