(Assistant Manager – Design Systems, Laser & ERP Coordination)

Design & Engineering Support

• Direct: Design Documentation & Systems Lead
• Functional Coordination: Ravi (Design Head), Kiran (Production / Planning)

This role ensures that design outputs are executed correctly and smoothly across the drawing pipeline, laser cutting, QC, manufacturing preparation, and ERP (Odoo).

👉 This is NOT a design role

👉 This is a data, coordination, and system-discipline role

The person will act as the execution backbone of the design team , ensuring no wrong drawings, wrong revisions, or missing data reach the shopfloor.

• Track drawing status:
• Pending
• Under review
• Approved
• Revised
• Frozen
• Ensure drawings move in correct sequence:
• Design → Review → Freeze → Laser → Fabrication
• Maintain drawing trackers, logs, and checklists
• Ensure only latest approved drawings are in circulation

• Coordinate with:
• Internal laser team
• External laser vendors (if applicable)
• Ensure:
• Correct drawing revision
• Correct material thickness
• Correct file format
• Block laser cutting if:
• Revision mismatch
• Missing information
• Wrong input data

👉 Can raise flags and stop execution , but cannot modify drawings

• Create and follow QC checklists for:
• Laser-cut parts
• Fabricated bought-out items
• Verify:
• Dimensions vs drawings
• Material thickness & type
• Visual defects
• Raise QC flags / NCRs where required

• Prepare:
• Pre-manufacturing readiness checklists
• Drawing availability lists
• BOM readiness status
• Coordinate with production & planning teams
• Ensure manufacturing starts only when documentation is ready

• Create and maintain:
• Assembly manuals
• Installation manuals
• QC formats & checklists
• SOP documents
• Update documents when approved changes occur
• Work strictly as per inputs from Vishal / Ravi

• Upload drawings in Odoo
• Link drawings with:
• BOM
• Manufacturing Orders
• Maintain revision alignment between drawings and ERP
• Flag missing, incorrect, or outdated ERP data

👉 Heavy focus on data accuracy and discipline

• Act as coordination point between:
• Design team
• Laser
• Purchase
• Production
• Follow up rigorously until closure
• Ensure clear communication and execution flow

❌ No machine performance discussions

• Basic mechanical understanding
• Exposure to laser cutting / fabrication
• ERP or factory coordination experience

• SolidWorks (can be taught later if needed)
• Engineering degree (preferred but not compulsory)
