Position - Value Engineering Specialist
Department – Building & Infrastructure
Report to - Technical Manager
Key Working Relationship - Technical Manager / Team Leader

Minimum Required Qualifications
Specialty:
  • Conduct systematic value analysis and value engineering studies
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality
  • Develop alternative design solutions that optimize performance and minimize expenses
  • Perform detailed cost-benefit analyses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, procurement)

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Training / Awareness
  • Advanced structural analysis techniques
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis techniques
  • Value Methodology
  • Risk Assessment Methodologies

Technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in cost estimation techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of: Engineering principles, Manufacturing processes, Cost management, Design optimization
  • Strong structural engineering fundamentals
  • Advanced understanding of national and international construction standards, including BS, EN, and ISO regulations
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings
  • Understanding of compliance reporting and record-keeping requirements
  • Ability to generate comprehensive reports and present findings effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to various stakeholders

Experience
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience of value engineering experience in construction, Infrastructure development, civil engineering projects, Industrial facility construction, renovation and restoration works

Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities
  • Primary Functions
  • Analyze existing product designs
  • Generate innovative cost-reduction proposals
  • Create detailed cost 3D and 2D models
  • Evaluate alternative materials and manufacturing methods
  • Develop prototypes for proposed design improvements
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations

Technical Expertise
