Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Team Lead – Aluminum & Façade to lead and manage our façade design department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and drafting team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical solutions for aluminum, glazing, and façade projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and coordination skills to ensure project compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of façade designers and draftsmen.
• Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure project deadlines are achieved.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and design calculations.
• Develop team capabilities through training and technical guidance.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and design procedures.

Design & Technical Oversight

• Oversee the design and detailing of:
• Curtain Wall Systems (Stick & Unitized)
• Aluminum Doors & Windows
• Skylights & Canopies
• Cladding Systems
• Louvers and Architectural Metal Works
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, and international standards.
• Review structural, thermal, and performance calculations for façade systems.
• Provide technical solutions for design challenges and project requirements.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, Architects, Contractors, and Site Teams.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings.
• Address design-related issues and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure consultant comments and approvals are incorporated accurately and promptly.

Planning & Execution

• Prepare and monitor design schedules aligned with project timelines.
• Ensure timely submission of:
• Shop Drawings
• Fabrication Drawings
• Material Submittals
• Design Calculations
• Support procurement, production, and installation teams with technical clarifications.

Quality & Compliance

• Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and quality in all design deliverables.
• Ensure proper revision control and documentation management.
• Implement design best practices and standardization across projects.
• Ensure compliance with UAE/GCC regulations and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in aluminum and façade design.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in façade systems, glazing solutions, and aluminum products.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
