Job Title: Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer (with Sales Background)
Location: UAE
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a background in sales or customer engagement. The ideal candidate will provide first-level IT support to end-users while identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, promote IT solutions, and support business growth through their sales acumen.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Support:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and user accounts.
  • Respond promptly to support tickets, calls, and emails in a professional manner.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to Level 2/3 support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.

Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Understand client requirements and recommend suitable IT products or services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical pre-sales support and product demonstrations.
  • Identify potential upselling or cross-selling opportunities during support interactions.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work closely with the sales and account management teams to support business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or similar technical roles.
  • Prior sales or customer-facing experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
  • Basic understanding of IT products, licensing, and networking.
  • Experience using remote support tools.
  • Sales certifications or training will be an added advantage.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
