Development Lead

COLAB is on the lookout for a Development Lead from the background of Full Stack Development. This is a 100% remote opportunity open to talent based in Pakistan.

Development lead will take the lead on technical development projects and manage a remote team of engineers. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced full stack developer with strong leadership capabilities, a sharp eye for scalable architecture, and a passion for mentoring and empowering others.

This is a 100% remote leadership position, focused on building and maintaining robust web applications across various platforms including PHP, Shopify, WordPress, ReactJS, Angular, and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, guiding them in technical and professional growth
• Assign and manage development tasks based on project priorities and resource availability
• Oversee day-to-day technical execution and delivery of all assigned projects

✅ Project & Task Management

• Collaborate with PMs and cross-functional teams to plan sprints and timelines
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards
• Optimize workflows and resolve bottlenecks in project execution

✅ Code Quality & Best Practices

• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and enforce best practices
• Establish and maintain coding standards, version control processes, and CI/CD pipelines

✅ Architecture & Problem Solving

• Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to high-level architecture decisions
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks for continuous improvement
• Lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in:
• PHP (Laravel or other frameworks)
• Shopify (custom development and theme integration)
• WordPress (custom plugin/theme development)
• ReactJS and Angular
• JavaScript/ES6, HTML5, CSS3
• Deep understanding of system architecture, data structures, and design patterns
• Hands-on experience with Git, APIs, and database management
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, agile environment
