Development Manager

Tower Grove Park is known for its unique, historic Victorian architecture, its extensive network of trails, and its signature community events and activities such as the Farmer’s Market and the Festival of Nations. However, one of the main attractions for our 2.5 million annual visitors is the 289 acres of green open spaces and woodlands that serve as a natural oasis in the middle of a densely populated, diverse urban area. The living landscape of Tower Grove Park includes 6,900 trees, hundreds of varieties of woody shrubs, stunning horticulture, and many acres of grassy turf in which Park visitors can relax, socialize, exercise, study, and enjoy nature.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The ideal candidate for this position will have 3+ years of paid development experience with direct skills in annual gift fundraising, gift entry and acknowledgment, and event management. They will likely have experience in Raiser’s Edge/NXT software and will be comfortable preparing reports. The ability to be friendly, communicate both verbally and in writing, and participate as a team player is essential.

This is a salaried position which will work out of the Tower Grove Park office, with some opportunity for remote work. Working hours are generally 8:30am – 5:00pm, M-F, with periodic evening and weekend events.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development Manager Duties:

· Ensure continued growth of the Park’s membership initiatives through the creative renewal and acquisition of donors via direct mail, digital marketing, and e-blasts.

● Manage development volunteers.

● Process gifts, membership benefits, and acknowledgements for Park donors at all levels

● Perform data analysis and prepare insightful reports to help keep the Park’s giving structures fresh and growing.

● Serve as staff lead to the Tower Grove Park Members Council, coordinating quarterly meeting notices, agendas, and minutes, as well as working with Council leaders to ensure meaningful member engagement.

● Serve as team lead in the production of the Park’s signature fundraising events, Flower Power, Martinis at the Mansion, and the Frosted 5K as well as smaller engagement events and members-only events.

● Collaborate frequently and closely with the Park’s Communications Manager and the Director of Development

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Salary range is $50,000-$60,000 based on experience.
