DevOps Engineer

About the role:

As a DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Managing AWS cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of resources
• Implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate resource management
• Designing and implementing resource tagging strategies to enable cost attribution and governance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud resources are optimized for performance, security, and cost
• Monitoring and analyzing cloud spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing FinOps best practices
• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for cloud resource management
• Focus on security best practices in cloud environments, including access control, encryption, and network security

Requirements:

• AWS Cloud experience, including hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, EKS, MSK, and IAM
• Kubernetes experience, including hands-on experience with EKS
• Observability awareness, including experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch/Prometheus/Datadog
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, and experience in writing and maintaining Terraform configurations
• Knowledge and experience with Kafka (AWS MSK)
• Strong understanding of cloud cost management and FinOps principles, with experience in implementing cost-saving strategies
• On-call experience, including incident response and troubleshooting in a cloud environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with remote teams and stakeholders
• CI/CD automation experience for Typescript, Kotlin and Ruby programming languages
• Compliance regulation awareness (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) and experience in implementing best practices and measurements in cloud environments
