We're Hiring: IT Infrastructure & DevOps Specialist
Location: Indigo Office
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Type: Full-Time | On-Site
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure & DevOps Specialist to lead and manage our internal IT systems, client-facing server deployments, and cloud infrastructure. You'll be the go-to expert for resolving issues — from day-to-day IT support to diagnosing server crashes, and ensuring zero backup failures across our environments.
As we prepare for ISO27001 certification, this is a strategic role that combines technical depth with an eye for compliance, process, and documentation. You'll be a key contributor to our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and play a critical part in shaping our security-first culture.
What You’ll Do Internal IT & Support
- Manage and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, user accounts, email, printers, and VPN access.
- Administer Windows OS and keep IT asset inventories (hardware/software) up to date.
- Handle day-to-day user issues and ensure smooth internal operations.
Infrastructure & Client Deployments
- Deploy and manage client-facing applications and servers (Windows, IIS, SQL basics).
- Troubleshoot server access, app pool crashes, IIS errors, and connectivity issues.
- Document and validate backups, ensuring all environments are recoverable and audit-ready.
Cloud & Private Server Management
- Monitor uptime and availability of client and internal cloud servers.
- Diagnose cloud outages, coordinate with hosting providers, and resolve incidents fast.
- Maintain monitoring systems, escalation protocols, and recovery documentation.
DevOps & Automation
- Automate routine infrastructure tasks: monitoring, backup checks, log analysis.
- Collaborate with developers during deployments, enforcing rollback and change controls.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and change logs.
Security, Compliance & ISO27001 Readiness
- Support our ISO27001 journey across all controls related to IT operations:
- Maintain IT asset registers, network diagrams, and cloud inventory.
- Implement and log user provisioning, least-privilege access, and periodic reviews.
- Ensure regular patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
- Document backup & restore procedures; validate them regularly.
- Monitor incidents and support classification/reporting for ISO compliance.
- Draft SOPs and collaborate with management and ISO consultants during audit cycles.
What You Bring✅ Required Experience
- 4+ years in IT infrastructure, system administration, or DevOps.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Windows Server, IIS, App Pools, basic SQL Server.
- Networking basics: VPNs, firewalls, DNS, routing.
- Cloud hosting (Azure, AWS, or private cloud).
- Backup strategies and disaster recovery practices.
- Skilled in identifying and isolating issues at app, server, or network level.
- Strong integrity handling production environments and client backups.
- Experience supporting or implementing IT compliance frameworks (ISO27001 a plus).
Preferred Skills
- Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- IT/security certifications (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, Security+, Azure/AWS SysOps, ISO27001 Lead Implementer).
