Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related mechanical systems, particularly in heavy trucks and trailers. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel engines, including fuel injection systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
• Conduct routine maintenance and scheduled inspections on heavy vehicles and trailers
• Perform major mechanical repairs such as engine overhauls, clutch and gearbox replacements, brake systems, and suspension work
• Inspect and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records, logs, and reports
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with company and safety standards
• Assist in diagnosing issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Identify and report mechanical defects or needed repairs to the supervisor
• Support trailer repair work as needed (axles, air suspension, brakes, etc.)

Skills and Experience Required:

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably working with heavy trucks and trailers
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service diagrams, and repair instructions
• Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment used in diesel engine maintenance
• Experience in trailer repair and maintenance is an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in workshop conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
