The Tickle College of Engineering Office of Communications at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), seeks to hire a digital media specialist. This position works closely with other internal team members as well as college and departmental clients within engineering to promote the activities of faculty and students through digital channels. This position collects, creates, and implements electronic media content on a variety of digital platforms for the college and departments that reflect an understanding of the principles of UI, UX, and SEO best practices within existing brand guidelines and current accessibility. Additionally, this position creates and posts content to departmental social media accounts as part of the college and department’s overall strategic content plan.
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office two days per week and remotely for the rest. Our in-office time is used primarily for team meetings and formal and informal collaboration.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in communications, marketing, web design, English, or related field
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
