Job Goal:
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports Region 4’s marketing initiatives by executing digital advertising, email marketing, and analytics-based optimization to drive engagement, conversions, and participation. This role develops, builds, and monitors digital campaigns across multiple platforms, manages email communications, tracks performance data, and produces short-form video or motion assets for digital use. Working collaboratively with the marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist ensures digital deliverables are accurate, targeted, and optimized to support organizational goals and position Region 4 as the partner of choice for districts.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or related field.
Experience:
- Five years related experience in marketing, content creation, communications, or digital media.
Special Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience building and optimizing digital advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, segmentation, and retargeting across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot or similar) for campaign builds, automation, testing, and performance optimization
- Ability to analyze digital performance data using GA4, ad dashboards, email metrics, pixels, UTMs, and other tracking tools to inform decisions
- Proficiency in Canva or Adobe tools to create digital ad assets, email graphics, and short-form or motion-based video content optimized for paid channels
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including conversion optimization, SEO fundamentals, user experience, and responsive design
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple digital campaigns in a fast-paced environment
Major Responsibilities
- Execute digital advertising campaigns: Build, launch, and optimize paid social, search, display, and retargeting campaigns that support services, products, conferences, and initiatives.
- Manage email marketing operations: Develop email workflows, build templates, deploy campaigns, manage segmentation, and conduct A/B testing to increase performance and participation.
- Segment and personalize outreach: Collaborate with the team to segment audiences and personalize email outreach using CRM or automation tools to improve relevance, engagement, and outcomes.
- Produce digital-ready creative assets: Create or adapt graphics, ad creative, animations, and short-form video optimized for paid channels and email engagement.
- Support content development as needed: Assist in creating or adapting copy and visual assets for digital ads, landing pages, and email campaigns when required.
- Support landing page development: Build or update landing pages, registration pages, and digital forms to improve user experience and support conversions.
- Track and analyze digital performance: Monitor analytics across Google Ads, paid social dashboards, GA4, and email platforms to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Optimize for conversions: Make data-driven adjustments to targeting, creative, messaging, and channel mix to maximize engagement and registrations.
- Support multi-channel campaign execution: Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator and Content Marketing Specialists to ensure campaigns are aligned, cohesive, and delivered on schedule.
- Maintain digital marketing infrastructure: Manage tracking pixels, UTM parameters, custom audiences, email lists, and analytics integrations to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct digital audits: Review ads, emails, landing pages, and digital performance to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and maintain campaign quality.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with program teams, Communications, and the Web Specialist to ensure digital assets reflect accurate and updated information.
- Ensure accessibility & compliance: Follow accessibility standards, digital best practices, and Texas ESC requirements for email, advertising, and analytics.
- Support grant-funded digital activities: Provide digital deliverables tied to grant requirements in alignment with funding guidelines.
- Support grant and organizational marketing goals: Provide support for grant-funded initiatives and contribute to the goals of the Marketing Department and CSC&E.
- Perform all other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
